碰碰字是一个帮助住在中国以外的孩子们学中文的iPhone／iPad游戏。孩子们天性贪玩， 让他们花时间学习一种选修的外文经常是一件非常困难的事。 以我们的儿子为例， 通常要等到最后一分钟才能完成每周四次的中文作业。 所以让我们有了这样一个主意，就是将学中文与他喜欢的游戏结合在一起。从到目前的试验来看，效果相当不错。让他打游戏是不需要提醒的，反倒需要限制他玩的时间。

同学习任何一种语言一样，掌握一定的词汇是阅读的基础。 希望这个游戏可以帮助他以及其他正在学中文的孩子们建立良好的基础， 为以后能够理解及欣赏中国文化，文学做好准备。

这个游戏包括马立平和人教版中文教材一至四年级的词汇，每个年级分三个单元。可在每个单元中选择课程。每课包含在该课中新学的字和词，也包含在该年级中以前所学过的课程中所有字和词。本课及近期所学的课程的字和词会出现更为频繁。你先选择年级，再选单元和课程，就可以开始玩了。一定要注意打开声音。如果你真的认识这些字，第一级会很容易。但是你能到达第十八级吗？我们的儿子玩这个游戏很上瘾，但他到目前还没能超过第十六级。

Choose your grade and a lesson and start playing. Be sure your sound is on. If you know your characters level one is easy. But can you finish level 18? We wrote Character Zapper for our son and hes been playing it obsessively but hasnt made it past level 16 yet!

Each lesson has the words and characters introduced in that lesson and all the other words and characters introduced in earlier lessons for the same grade. More weight is placed on the current and more recent lessons.
